A Red Sox Christmas

On the First Day of Kwanzaa, My True Love Tortured Me

On the First Day of Kwanzaa, My True Love Tortured Me ... (Reprise) By Gail Heriot,

This story has become a holiday tradition at the Right Coast:

If you visit a card shop at your local shopping mall these days, chances are you will see Kwanzaa cards. It's big business. (Well, maybe it's just medium-sized business, but it is evidently lucrative enough for card companies to bother with.) And if you go to swanky private schools like the one attended by the children of my fellow Right Coaster Chris Wonnell, you may well receive instruction on this traditional African-American holiday. Taking Kwanzaa seriously is all part of the spirit of multiculturalism.

Except, of course, Kwanzaa isn't traditional at all. It was invented in the late 1960s by convicted felon Ron Everett, leader of a so-called black nationalist group called United Slaves. I use the word "so-called" because United Slaves' veneer of black nationalism was very thin; most of its members had been members of a South Central Los Angeles street gang called the Gladiators, just as the Southern California chapter of the Black Panthers had been members of the Slauson gang.

In the early 1960s, these gangs were mostly concerned with petty and not-so-petty crime in the Los Angeles area, including the ever-popular practice of hitting up local merchants for protection money. By the late 1960s, however, they discovered that if they cloaked their activities in rhetoric of black nationalism, they could hit up not just the local pizza parlor, but great institutions of higher learning as well, most notably UCLA. Everett re-named himself Maulana Ron Karenga ("Maulana" we are told is Swahili for "master teacher"), donned an African dashiki, and invented Kwanzaa. And the radical chic folks at UCLA went into paroxysms of appreciation.

In theory, Kwanzaa is a Pan-African harvest holiday, except that it is not set at harvest time. And in theory, it celebrates the ties of African Americans to African culture, except that it purports to celebrate those ties using the East African language of Swahili when nearly all African Americans are descended from West African peoples.

But those are just details. Many of the best-loved holidays in the Christian calendar have traditions connected to them that don't quite fit if you examine them too closely. But those rough edges have now been smoothed over by the long passage of time. No one really cares if the Christmas tree was once used to celebrate pagan holidays; many generations of credible Christians have earned the right to claim it as their own.

Kwanzaa is different. It has connections to still-living violent criminals. It is an insult to the African American community, very few of whom celebrate Kwanzaa and even fewer of whom would celebrate it if they knew the full story of its recent history, to suggest that it is an "African American holiday."

UCLA soon found that a bunch of street thugs calling themselves United Slaves can dress themselves up in colorful clothing, learn a few words of Swahili but they will still be ... well ... street thugs. The beginning of the end for United Slaves as an organization came with a gun battle fought on the UCLA campus against the Black Panthers over which group would control the new Afro-American Studies Center (and its generous budget). In the end, two Black Panther leaders--Alprentice "Bunchy" Carter and John Jerome Huggins--were dead. Two members of United Slaves were convicted of their murder. (Under UCLA's High-Potential Program, which admitted politically-active minority students during the late 1960s, often regardless of their academic credentials or even whether they had graduated from high school, many members of the Black Panthers and United Slaves were registered as students at UCLA.)

No, Maulana Ron Karenga was not among them. But not long after the incident, Karenga proved himself to be every bit as brutal as his followers when he was charged and convicted of two counts of felonious assault and one count of false imprisonment.

The details of the crime as reported in the Los Angeles Times (and quoted last year by Paul Mulshine in an article for FrontPage magazine) are horrific. The paranoid Karenga began to suspect that the members of his organization were trying to poison him by placing "crystals" in his food and around the house. According to the Los Angeles Times:"

Deborah Jones, who once was given the Swahili title of an African queen, said she and Gail Davis were whipped with an electrical cord and beaten with a karate baton after being ordered to remove their clothes. She testified that a hot soldering iron was placed in Miss Davis' mouth and placed against Miss Davis' face and that one of her own big toes was tightened in a vise. Karenga, head of US, also put detergent and running hoses in their mouths, she said."

The Los Angeles Times went on the state that "Karenga allegedly told the women that 'Vietnamese torture is nothing compared to what I know.' "

Karenga spent time in prison for the act. But if you are worried are what has become of him, you needn't be. He served only a few years. When he got out, he somehow convinced Cal State Long Beach to make him head of the African Studies Department.

Happy Kwanzaa.

Take the Global Warming Test!

Is the environment endangered? Do we have a Global Crisis at hand?
Or is this all hype and scare tactics?

Test your knowledge and common sense in this simple 10-question test.

As the test says on the main page:
Caution: This section contains sound science, not media hype, and may therefore contain material not suitable for young people trying to get a good grade in political correctness.

When dealing with the "truths" coming out of the environmentalist camp, you need to use your brain and your common sense to decide for yourself to what extent global warming poses a threat to humanity.

Can this be just a flim-flam game by environmentalist fascists?

Welcome to the Real World.

A young woman was about to finish her first year of college. Like so many others her age, she considered herself to be a very progressive, liberal Democrat, and among other liberal ideals, was very much in favor of higher taxes to support more government programs, in other words...a fair and equal re-distribution of wealth.

She was deeply ashamed that her father was a rather staunch Conservative, a feeling she openly expressed. Based on the lectures that she participated in, and the occasional chat with a professor, she felt that her father had for years harbored an evil, selfish desire to keep what he thought should be his.

One day she was challenging her father on his opposition to higher taxes on the rich and the need for more government programs. The self-professed objectivity proclaimed by her professors had to be the truth and she indicated so to her father.

He responded by asking how she was doing in school.

Taken aback, she answered rather haughtily that she had a 4.0 GPA, and let him know that it was tough to maintain, insisting that she was taking a very difficult course load and was constantly studying, which left her no time to go out and party like other people she knew. She didn't even have time for a boyfriend, and didn't really have many college friends because she spent all her time studying.

Her father listened and then asked, "How is your friend Audrey doing?"

She replied, "Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are easy courses she never studies, and she barely has a 2.0 GPA. She is so popular on campus, college for her is a blast. She's always invited to all the parties, and lots of times she doesn't even show up for classes because she's too hung over."

Her wise father asked his daughter, "Why don't you go to the Dean's office and ask him to deduct 1.0 off your GPA and give it to your friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA and certainly that would be a fair and equal re-distribution of GPA."

The daughter, visibly shocked by her father's suggestion, angrily fired back, "That's a crazy idea, how would that be fair! I've worked really hard for my grades! I've invested a lot of time and a lot of hard work! I've earned my grades. Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She's been playing while I've been working my ass off!"

The father slowly smiled, winked and said gently, "Welcome to the real world honey, welcome to the real world."

It takes 2 seconds. You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to some member of the armed services.

How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!

Please send a card. It is FREE and it only takes a second.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these?

Religion of Peace...My Ass!

Thousands of Muslim Sudanese, many armed with clubs and knives, protested Friday outside the presidential palace in Khartoum, demanding the execution of British teacher Gillian Gibbons who was convicted of insulting Islam for allowing her students to name a teddy bear "Muhammad."

They burned pictures of Gibbons and called for her execution, saying, "No tolerance: Execution," and "Kill her, kill her by firing squad."

Several hundred protesters, not openly carrying weapons, marched to Unity High School, where Gibbons worked, about 1.2 miles from the square. They stood chanting slogans outside the school, which is closed and under heavy security, then marched toward the nearby British Embassy.

During Friday sermons, the Muslim cleric at Khartoum's main Martyrs Mosque denounced Gibbons, saying she intentionally insulted Islam. "Imprisoning this lady does not satisfy the thirst of Muslims in Sudan." the cleric, Abdul-Jalil Nazeer al-Karouri, a well-known hard-liner, told worshippers.

My question to American Muslins: Where is your outrage?

Not surprisingly, they remain strangly silent as usual.

There is no Pride or Shame.

The year is 2012: Webster's will remove the words Pride and Shame from the dictionary. Liberal Progressive University studies have shown that the vast majority of Americans do not have these emotions any longer and thus these words have no meaning. The studies noted that in America's heyday, each of these words meant something and that they caused America to come together in a meaningful way.

In recent years Pride and Shame have been replaced by the term "don't be judgemental" and "understanding". For example, a family once would feel shame if it had a pedophile in its mist.
Today, Americans are encouraged to "understand" why a pedophile behaves the way they do.

There was once a time when people would feel "Shame" asking for or taking handouts.
Today millions try to get something for nothing. In fact, the more you can get for free is actually admired. Thus, what was once considered shameful is now a source of pride.

The Universities estimate that it could take up to 16 pages to explain the evolving differences of these words and thus decided that it would be much easier to simply eliminate these words. The studies authors concede that taking such a lazy approach might have been looked down upon by their predecessors, but then notes that society is not what it once was. They point to the globalization of language and the Internet as making formerly ubiquitous words meaningless.

They cite the example of the word "Pride" which is usually used in sports terms today or by Muslims who clearly have no pride. Sure, they kill masses in the name of "pride for Allah" but they do it in a cowardly way. If they were in fact proud, wouldn't they fight like men in a battle? Instead they hide behind hoods and masks, strapping bombs onto women and children and use sneak attacks to kill more women and children.

Sociologists have stated that Pride was once used to inspire people to be better than they could have otherwise been. Today it is used as an oxymoron to hide otherwise shameful events. For example the term "gay pride" is often used during parades which have the intended effect of covering up the shame which participants have for tearing a society apart for their own selfish urges. Ironically, things like "American pride" are considered to be xenophobic.

For myself, I thought this would be a cyclical thing and that America was just rebounding from a bunch of baby boomers in San Francisco and Cambridge. However, this cancer has spread to other parts of America and the next generation. A recent survey of students aged 12 through 14 revealed that 98 out of 100 could not identify a time they felt Shame. When asked to define Pride only 10 of 100 could accurately do so and that is giving credit to 9 students that identified it as a collection of lions and one that labeled it a brand of turkey.

What has become of every society that let its people run free to the point that there was no recognition of Pride or Shame?

Simple: those societies found themselves extinct.

Mexican Immigration Laws. Why can't we follow suit?

Mexico has a single, streamlined law that ensures that foreign visitors and immigrants are:
  • In the country legally:
  • have the means to sustain themselves economically;
  • not destined to be burdens on society;
  • of economic and social benefit to society;
  • of good character and have no criminal records;
  • and are contributors to the general well-being of the nation.

The law also ensures that:

  • immigration authorities have a record of each foreign visitor;
  • foreign visitors do not violate their visa status;
  • foreign visitors are banned from interfering in the country’s internal politics;
  • foreign visitors who enter under false pretenses are imprisoned or deported;
  • foreign visitors violating the terms of their entry are imprisoned or deported;
  • those who aid in illegal immigration will be sent to prison.

Who can disagree with such a law? It makes perfect sense. The Mexican constitution strictly defines the rights of citizens - and the denial of many fundamental rights to non-citizens, legal and illegal.

Why then is Mexico pushing us to water down our own immigration laws and policies, when its own immigration restrictions are the toughest on the continent?

If the United States adopted such statutes, Mexico would no doubt denounce it as a manifestation of American racism and bigotry.

After all, if it's a reasonable policy for them, why not us?

"A Mexican Visitor's Lament"

From Tina Griego, Journalist for the Denver Rocky Mountain News 10/25/07.

She was interviewing Mexican journalist Evangelina Hernandez while visiting Denver last week. Hernandez said,

"They (illegal aliens) pay rent, buy groceries, buy clothes...what happens to your country's economy if 20 million people go away?"

That's a good question it deserves an answer. Over 80 percent of Americans demand secured borders and illegal migration stopped. But what would happen if all 20 million or more vacated America? The answers may surprise you!

*In California, if 3.5 million illegal aliens moved back to Mexico, it would leave an extra $10.2 billion to spend on overloaded school systems, bankrupted hospitals and overrun prisons. It would leave highways cleaner, safer and less congested. Everyone could understand one another as English became the dominate language again.

*In Colorado, 500,000 illegal migrants, plus their 300,000 kids and grand-kids would move back "home," mostly to Mexico. That would save Coloradans an estimated $2 billion (other experts say $7 BIL) annually in taxes that pay for schooling, medical, social-services and incarceration costs. It means 12,000 gang members would vanish out of Denver alone.

*Colorado would save more than $20 million in prison costs, and the terror that those 7,300 alien criminals set upon local citizens. Denver Officer Don Young and hundreds of Colorado victims would not have suffered death, accidents, rapes and other crimes by illegals.

*Denver Public Schools would not suffer a 67 percent drop out/flunk out rate via thousands of illegal alien students speaking 41 different languages. At least 200,000 vehicles would vanish from our gridlocked cities in Colorado.

*Denver's four percent unemployment rate would vanish as our working poor would gain jobs at a living wage.

*In Florida, 1.5 million illegals would return the Sunshine State back to America, the rule of law and English.

*In Chicago, Illinois, 2.1 million illegals would free up hospitals, schools, prisons and highways for a safer, cleaner and more crime-free experience.

If 20 million illegal aliens returned "home" --

If 20 million illegal aliens returned "home," the U.S. economy would return to the rule of law. Employers would hire legal American citizens at a living wage. Everyone would pay their fair share of taxes because they wouldn't be working off the books. That would result in an additional $401 billion in IRS income taxes collected annually, and an equal amount for local state and city coffers.

No more push '1' for Spanish or '2' for English.

No more confusion in American schools that now must contend with over 100 languages that degrade the educational system for American kids.

Our overcrowded schools would lose more than two million illegal alien kids at a cost of billions in ESL and free breakfasts and lunches.

We would lose 500,000 illegal criminal alien inmates at a cost of more than $1.6 billion annually. That includes 15,000 MS-13 gang members who distribute $130 billion in drugs annually would vacate our country. In cities like L.A., 20,000 members of the "18th Street Gang" would vanish from our nation. No more Mexican forgery gangs for ID theft from Americans! No more foreign rapists and child molesters!

Losing more than 20 million people would clear up our crowded highways and gridlock. Cleaner air and less drinking and driving American deaths by illegal aliens! Drain on America's economy; taxpayers harmed, employers get rich. Over $80 billion annually wouldn't return to their home countries by cash transfers. Illegal migrants earned half that money untaxed, which further drains America's economy which currently suffers an $8.7 trillion debt.

At least 400,000 anchor babies would not be born in our country, costing us $109 billion per year per cycle. At least 86 hospitals in California, Georgia and Florida would still be operating instead of being bankrupted out of existence because illegals pay nothing via the EMTOLA Act. Americans wouldn't suffer thousands of TB and hepatitis cases rampant in our country brought in by illegals unscreened at our borders. Our cities would see 20 million less people driving, polluting and grid locking our cities.

It would also put the "progressives" on the horns of a dilemma; illegal aliens and their families cause 11 percent of our greenhouse gases. Over one million of Mexico’s poorest citizens now live inside and along our border from Brownsville, Texas to San Diego, California in what the New York Times called, colonias or new neighborhoods. Trouble is, those living areas resemble Bombay and Calcutta with grinding poverty, filth, diseases, drugs, crimes, no sanitation and worse. They live without sewage, clean water, streets, electricity, roads or any kind of sanitation.

The New York Times reported them to be Americas new Third World inside our own country. Within 20 years, at their current growth rate, they expect 20 million residents of those colonias.

By enforcing our laws, we could repatriate them back to Mexico.
We invite 20 million aliens to go home, fix their own countries and/or make a better life in Mexico. We invite a million people into our country legally more than all other countries combined annually. We cannot and must not allow anarchy at our borders, more anarchy within our borders and growing lawlessness at every level in our nation.

Its time to stand up for our country, our culture, our civilization and our way of life.

Animal Saviors.

I'm sorry, but this feature has been removed from AP's website.

Here's a story from AP News about two animal heroes. A abandoned dog named Toby and an orphaned kitten named Winnie. They both did something out of their ordinary behavior to save their peoples lives.

Makes me wonder if Hillary has ever gone out of her way to help anyone without expecting something in return? Hmmmm.

A Sad Tale of Hillary

Three Arkansas surgeons were playing golf together and discussing surgeries they had performed. One of them said, "I'm the best surgeon in Arkansas. In my favorite case, a concert pianist lost seven fingers in an accident, I reattached them and 8 months later he performed a private concert for the Queen of England."

The second surgeon said. "That's nothing. A young man lost an arm and both legs in an accident, I reattached them, and 2 years later he won a gold Medal in track and field events in the Olympics."

The third surgeon said, "You guys are amateurs. Several years ago a woman was high on cocaine and she rode a horse right into a train head-on, traveling at 90 miles an hour. All I had left to work with was the woman's blond hair and the horse's ass. I was able to put them together and now she's running for President."

We didn't break the Law. It doesn't apply to us Illegals!

Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration. Pro-Illegal Alien groups are angry that the US might finally protect its own borders, might finally make it harder for people to come into this country illegally and, once here, to stay as long as they want.

Let's see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests with this example:

Let's say I break into your house.

Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave.

But I say, "I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors. I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your house).

According to these protesters:
You are required to let me stay in your house.
You are required to add me to your family's insurance plan.
You are required to educate my kids.
You are required to provide medical coverage and many other social benefits to me and to my family.
You are required to give my children born here automatic citizenship.
You are required to look the other way when I drive without a driver's licence or liability insurance.
You are required to look the other way when I disregard your laws.

After all, I'm not a citizen of YOUR country and your laws do not apply to me!

My husband will do all of your yard work because he is also hard-working and honest. (except for that breaking in part).

If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs proclaiming my RIGHT to be there.

It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself. I'm a hard-working and honest person, (except for well, you know, I did break into your house).

And, what a deal it is for me! I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of cold, uncaring, selfish, prejudiced, and bigoted behavior.

Oh yeah, and I DEMAND that you learn MY LANGUAGE, so you can communicate with me.

Why can't people see how ridiculous this is?! Only in America!

If you agree, pass it on (in English please).

Share it if you see the value of it.

If not blow it off....along with the security of the United States, your future Social Security funds, your American culture and a lot of other things.

RE: “Mother of All Tax Hikes” Bill

MEMO
RE: “Mother of All Tax Hikes” Bill
TO: Republican Members, Republican Staff
FROM: Ways and Means Committee Ranking Member Jim McCrery

Thank you Representative Charlie Rangel for this wonderful Democrat kiss.
Yes, thank you for a bill resulting in "The largest individual income tax increase in history." No matter how you shake it, we all are going to pay more!

Jeepers, I wonder why this Democratic Congress has the lowest ratings since Jimmy Carter:

It's expected that Republicans and Independents might get low ratings, but now we see the Dem's themselves give Congress a low score. Kinda says something, huh?

Mexican Racial Gang Murders in L.A.

Mexican gangs in Los Angeles are targeting Black gang members as well as innocent Black civilians in their quest to "racially cleanse" their territories.

This article is from Newsweek.com on October 24, 2007.
I wonder how many of these Mexican gangsters poor misunderstood immigrants are illegals?

And some of our elected (and unelected) officials wonder why the vast majority of American Citizens want to close our borders. This is just one of the many reasons.

Another comment on Hillary's Experience.

There was an interesting comment on the radio today comparing Hillary's vast White House experience in terms of other occupations:

A man called in to say that he's a plumber and wondered if it was OK to send his wife to fix the pipes in a customer's flooded basement.
After all, she has been married to a plumber for 30 years...she should be able to fix the pipes!

We all know where Slick Willie went to get his "pipes" fixed.

Actual Quotes from Hillary: Part II.

"I want you to get rid of all these bitches he's seeing...I want you to give me the names and addresses and phone numbers, so we can get them under control"

“Who is going to find out? These women are trash. Nobody’s going to believe them.” (on Bill Clinton’s bimbo eruptions).

“If I didn’t kick his ass every day, he wouldn’t be worth anything.” (on President Bill).

“The American people are tired of liars and people who pretend to be something they're not.”

"Why do I have to keep proving to people that I am not a liar?"

“We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best for society.”

"I am a fan of the social policies that you find in Europe".

"Son of a Bitch"! (Hillary's opinion of President George W. Bush when she found out he secretly visited Iraq on Thanksgiving just days before her highly publicized trip.)

"I have to confess that it's crossed my mind that you could not be a Republican and a Christian."

Limbaugh letter nets $2.1 million for charity on eBay

Well, I guess some of the Democratic Senators are good for something. This just shows that their false condemnation of Rush Limbaugh for his remarks about "phony soldiers" was seen for what it was. A failed attempt to take the heat off of them for their support of the MoveOn.org "General Betray us" newspaper ad.

Just in case you aren't aware of why Rush made the "phony soldier" remark, this is who he was referring to. Here is the Wikipedia entry on Jesse Macbeth: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesse_Macbeth

By the way, Rush is matching this donation dollar for dollar. I challenge the 41 Senators who signed this ridiculous letter to "cowboy up" and donate an equal amount to the Marine Corps-Law Enforcement Foundation here: http://www.mc-lef.org/ . That means you Hillary, Obama and Dodd.

What is her experience?

Excerpt from Mayor Giuliani's interview that aired on FOXNEWS's Hannity & Colmes on Tuesday October 16, 2007.

Rudy Giuliani: "Honestly, in most respects, I don't know Hillary's experience. She's never run a city, she's never run a state. She's never run a business. She has never met a payroll. She has never been responsible for the safety and security of millions of people, much less even hundreds of people.

"So I'm trying to figure out where the experience is here. It would seem to me that in a time of difficult problems and war we don't want on the job training for an executive. The reality is that these areas in which - maybe there are some areas in which she has experience but the areas of having the responsibility of the safety and security of millions of people on your shoulders is not something Hillary has ever had any experience with."

Now I know that Hillary would say that she has 8 years of White House experience. That she's been involved in some of the day to day decision making that her husband, President Bill, had to make. That she has wide experience with the politics that occur in the Executive branch. All this may be true.

But I guess we will never see proof of this experience. You see, Hillary Clinton's documents covering her White House years are locked up at her husband's presidential library, in the custody of federal archivists who do not expect them to be released until after the 2008 presidential election.

Now wait a minute. Hillary's been out of the White House for eight years. It takes that long to archive her papers? The voting public should have the right to know what is in her papers since she is claiming those years as part of her so called experience. There have been some papers released. They are the ones related to her failed attempt for a socialist national health care system. Those must show her in a good light. But even then about 1,000 pages have been withheld. I wonder what they have to say?

With Hillary aggressively pursuing the presidency, the record of her activities in the White House is very important. The public deserves to know what her role in the policy making of the Clinton White House. Understand, she was not an elected official nor a presidential appointment. She was not a presidential staffer. She was just the Presidents wife and therefore in the White House by default. There should be no executive privilege granted to a former First Lady. The voters did not elect her. As much as the Moonbats would have liked it, we did not have a co-presidency. Did she have top security clearance? I hope not. Just because she's the presidents spouse does not give her the right to know all of our country's secrets. There might have been some pillow talk., well maybe not in the Clinton White House.

The papers I'm most interested in are the ones that show what her daily schedule was, what was on her calendar and who did she have appointments with. And her memos, what would they show?

If Hillary is so proud of her accomplishments, the she shouldn't hide her record behind any vague laws setting time limits for the release of those records. She had her health care documents released, why not the rest.

Come on Hill, come clean with America!

Aesop's The Ant and the Grasshopper. A Conservative Version vs. a Liberal, Progressive Version

The Ant and the Grasshopper

(A bit too close to the truth to be comfortable)!

*CONSERVATIVE VERSION*:

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long,

building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays
the summer away. Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed.

The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be responsible for yourself!

*LIBERAL, PROGRESSIVE VERSION:*

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his
house and laying up supplies for the winter. The grasshopper thinks the
ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and
demands to know why the ant should be warm and well fed while others are
cold and starving.

CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering
grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a
table filled with food.
America is stunned by the sharp contrast.

How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper
is allowed to suffer so?

Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper, and everybody
cries when they sing, "It's Not Easy Being Green."

Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton stage a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the group singing, "We shall over come." Jesse and Al then have the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake.

Nancy Pelosi & John Kerry exclaim in an interview with Katie Couric that
the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call
for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity and Anti-Grasshopper Act
retroactive to the beginning of the summer. The ant is fined for failing
to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to
pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the government.

Hillary Clinton gets her old law firm to represent the grasshopper in a
defamation suit against the ant, and the case is tried before a panel of
federal judges that Bill Clinton appointed from a list of single-parent
welfare recipients.

The ant loses the case.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of
the ant's food while the government house he is in, which just happens
to be the ant's old house, crumbles around him because he doesn't
maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow. The grasshopper is found dead in a
drug related incident and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a
gang of spiders who terrorize the once peaceful neighborhood.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be careful how you vote!

In Honor of Christopher Columbus

This past Monday Columbus Day was observed. Tomorrow (Oct. 12) is the traditional holiday.

In the past few days there have been many things said about this day being a celebration of his arrival and comparing it to a celebration of Hitler and the Holocaust. What the so-called political correct among us are really saying is that the Europeans who colonized the Americas were no better than murderers and slavers. It is also said that Columbus did not "discover" America. Yes, it's true that there were indigenous peoples here before and there were also other explorers who had visited North America previously. But what is also true is that Columbus was really the one who opened the eyes of the civilized world to it. What the PC crowd wants us to believe is that western civilization destroyed a land of peace and plenty for the Indians. Were there wrongs and atrocities committed? Yes, but as a people we have grown over time and along the way have become a better society. Not perfect but better. But lets not let the facts get in the way of the PC fantasy world where indigenous society was nothing but Paradise.

Before 1492 this land was inhabited by primarily hunter/gatherers. There were few permanent settlements. The people lived a nomadic existence, living day to day, hand to mouth. Life was hard. There was virtually no change in their lifestyles for thousands of years. Invention was unheard of. As far as the purported peaceful co-existence with other groups, well lets explore that for a bit. War was almost an endless activity for these people. Wars between tribes were some of the most brutal, bloody and sadistic one could imagine. The murder of an enemies children was a normal by-product of battle. The reasoning was that the child will grow to exact revenge for their group. Taking slaves and taking women as sex slaves was also a result of these battles. Blood sacrifice was a central part of pre-Colombian Aztec and Mayan culture. We see this same thing in primitive societies today. No change, no advancement, no progress.

This brings me to why Columbus should be honored and not made out to be a villain of epic proportions. It was his opening the door to civilization and to the ideas and the people who founded this country. The introduction of unheard of benefits. The ideas of thousands of thinkers and inventors were brought. Without the opening of America the thoughts and achievements of greats such as Aristotle, Plato, Copernicus may not have seen the light of day in the New World. If you listen to the PC folk, our society brings absolutely nothing to the table. Only horror, terror and disease. They say the brutal and backward Indian culture holds as much if not more value than ours. In an address to West Point in March of 1974, Ayn Rand said:
"[The Native Americans] didn't have any rights to the land and there was no reason for anyone to grant them rights which they had not conceived and were not using.... What was it they were fighting for, if they opposed white men on this continent? For their wish to continue a primitive existence, their "right" to keep part of the earth untouched, unused and not even as property, just keep everybody out so that you will live practically like an animal, or maybe a few caves above it. Any white person who brought the element of civilization had the right to take over this continent."

I'm sure some will say that I'm racist. They say all cultures intrinsically hold equal value. That all cultures are morally equal. Let me ask you...Is a culture that indulges in blood sacrifice equal? Is a culture that practices female genital mutilation equal? Is a stagnant culture better? Are men more equal than women? How about cannibalistic tribes, do they bring equal worth to mankind? The absolute fact is that some cultures are better than others. Western Civilization brings science rather than mysticism, reason instead of tribal ritual. Individualism, ambition and self-reliance are things to strive for. Values that state "All Men are Created Equal".

Look, there were absolutely very serious and horrible missteps made along the way. There is no way around it, no way to sugar coat it. We are still growing and correcting these things. But in the end we should honor our civilization instead of denigrating it. Thing are better now than they were. They will continue to get better. We as humans are better than we were.

It's time we honor our culture, Western Civilization.

It's time we reject this bullshit Multiculturalism. I do.

Dems Say World Will Be Better Off if U.S. Loses War in Iraq

NEW YORK — Nearly one out of every five Democrats thinks the world will be better off if America loses the war in Iraq, according to the FOX News Opinion Dynamics Poll released Thursday.

Click here for results of the poll.(pdf)

Democrats can't really mean this, can they? Are they that short sighted to believe that the Mideast and the world will be better off with run amok Islamo-Fascisim and a renewed will for the terrorists to commit murder of innocent people in the name of Allah. The fact of the matter is that a stable Iraq (if not a democratic one) is essential to peace in that part of the world.

I want the war in Iraq to end as much as anyone. But it has to be with some assurances that the people there can be safe from religious tyranny.

Actual Quotes from Hillary.

"We are going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

"God bless the America we are trying to create."

"I'm not going to have some reporters pawing through our papers. We are the president." (commenting on the release of subpoenaed documents).

"I have said that I'm not running and I'm having a great time being pres...being a first-term senator"

"We have a lot of kids who don't know what works means. They think work is a four-letter word." (speaking to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce).

Now before I get slammed for ignoring the dumb things that President Bush and other Conservatives have uttered, I am quite aware that there the Dem's have no monopoly on stupidity. I'm just highlighting these statements because it is somewhat indicative of what she stands for.

I guess it's what you could expect from a woman who has consulted a psychic to channel the spirit of Eleanor Roosevelt - another power-hungry wife who made a deal with the devil she married.

What the Hell is the matter in San Francisco?

An elite unit of U.S. Marines was to perform during the filming of a recruitment video on a San Francisco street during rush hour on the anniversary of 9/11. They were denied permission for the filming because San Francisco Film Commission Executive Director Stefanie Coyote cited "traffic control concerns". She said she would only allow filming if there were no Marines in the picture.

Was this because of liberal politics or was it just an issue of traffic control?

San FranSicko, as the city has been so aptly nicknamed, has long been a place where everything goes. The city is way too liberal for me, but it is what it is. I may not agree with what they stand for there, but I feel that as long as the city can be fair to all then I can deal with it. It's just when the powers that be deny one group the same opportunities that they so eagerly allow others, I get a bit pissed.

I do not hesitate to guess that if presented with a request for permission to hold a rally, protest, etc. by someone like Cindy Sheehan or some transgengered group, Ms. Coyote would have fallen all over herself to issue those permits no matter what time of day it was to be held. As it was, the Marines were allowed to film on an empty street and are going to have to superimpose the Marines during film editing.

I for one am disgusted. Ms. Coyote has insulted our brave Marines, our military and our country. They are the very reason that she is able to live where she does and enjoy the freedoms that she choose to deny others. She is in other words "a petty dictator" (jeepers, didn't we just hear Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called something similar?).

I don't know. It just seems very, very wrong.

I love this T-shirt logo!

Do you see what I see?

(New York - WABC, September 19, 2007) - Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad requested to visit Ground Zero during an upcoming trip to New York.

Are you kidding me? Are we actually going to allow this megalomaniac visit Ground Zero for use as a propaganda photo op? He'll probably do a little victory jig like Adolph did after the surrender of the French government at Compiegne, France in 1940. Mahmoud says he wants to lay a wreath at the site. The wreath that he lays will not be in remembrance of the innocent victims of of the Islamo-fascist attacks, but instead to praise and honor the so-called Muslim martyrs who flew passenger jets into the Twin Towers. He wants to show the rest of radical Islam that America is weak and stupid. Just one more thing that he can do to try and rub our nose in the sewer that has become Islam.

I guarantee the morons at MoveOn.org would love to see that.

Is this what you want to listen to?

Shrill Hill!

I believe that Hillary Rodham Clinton wants a world government under control of the United Nations that will destroy American sovereignty and traditional families. She has political beliefs that have their roots in Marxist/Socialist ideology. That's one reason she's so Gung Ho about having mandatory pre-kindergarten. Let's take the children away as early as we can so they can be more easily indoctrinated in the liberal left's way of thinking. That's right, remove the kids from Mom and Dad sooner and it'll go much more smoothly without having the parents in the way. No need to worry about the kids having a belief system which in any way resembles the Parents. In her book, "It Takes a Village" She says the future is not about family but about a larger community of "right minded" teachers and social workers. She talks about bringing up children as less of a parental responsibility than a social one. With this thinking you have the destruction of the family. That’s a very basic concept of Socialism and Marxism.

We Know Better Than Them!

It's all in the formula. Control the little people's lives, from cradle to grave.

Uncle Joe would be proud.

I guess I start my rant today!

For the past 2 or 3 years (really a lot more) I've been getting so tired of hearing from the left about all that is wrong with this country. I think I will be venting some of my thoughts of in what direction we are going and where we should be going. Take them for what they might be worth to you.

I'm not a dude who's unhappy in his job or life in general, so that's not where I'll be coming from.

But I do have something to say, even if it's only to myself.
