They are so precious!

The kittens owner says:

"Charlie and Spike are two kittens with myotonia congenita, otherwise known as 'fainting goat' syndrome. At the slightest sound or movement, the kittens respond by collapsing and falling into a rigid paralysis which lasts about a minute before they return to normal. If a pin drops they drop too. This condition has hardly ever before been diagnosed in a cat, is rarely found in dogs and is more common in goats. The kittens are able to walk, but they cannot run or jump. aside from this they are normal."

These poor little things have since passed away. The black and white kitten, Spike, died on October 27th 2010 from respiratory failure and Charlie the tabby kitten passed on Halloween 2010.

But, when you add them up one by one you get a phenomenal score that points to the fact that our Obama is determined to make America over into a Marxist/Socialist society. All of the items in the preceding paragraphs have been put into place. All can be documented very easily. Before you disavow this, do an internet search. The last paragraph alone is not yet cast in stone. You and I will write that paragraph. Will it read as above or will it be a happier ending for most of America? Personally, I like happy endings.

If you are an Obama Supporter, please do not be angry with me because I think your president is a socialist. There are too many facts supporting this. If you seek the truth you will be richer for it. Don’t just belittle the opposition. Search for the truth. I did. Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Constitutionalist, Libertarians and what have you; we all need to pull together. We all must pull together or watch the demise of a society that we all love and cherish. If you are a religious person, pray for our nation.

Never before in the history of America have we been confronted with problems so huge that the very existence of our country is in jeopardy. Don’t rely on most television news and what you read in the newspapers for the truth. Search the internet. Yes, there is a lot of bad information, lies and distortions there too but you are smart enough to spot the fallacies. Newspapers are a dying breed. They are currently seeking a bailout from the government. Do you really think they are about to print the truth? Obama praises all the television news networks except Fox who he has waged war against. There must be a reason. He does not call them down on any specifics, just a general battle against them. If they lie, he should call them out on it, but he doesn’t. Please, find the truth, it will set you free.

Our biggest enemy is not China, Russia, and Iran. No, our biggest enemy is a contingent of politicians in Washington DC.

There is something very, very special about Barbara Billingsley or as I have always known her as, "Mrs June Cleaver".

In those days, the late '50s and early '60s, us kids who still had no idea of the make believe world of television, thought Mrs Cleaver was the ideal Mom. She listened and thought. Never was the statement "You don't know what you're talkin' about kid". She just listened.

And at the end of the Beaver's issue would be the response: "Beaver, we'll have to wait until your father (Ward) is home". And then Beaver would worry for the rest of the day and tell Wally he thought he was going to be "killed".

But you know the rest of the story. Ward was pissed, but then he remembered when he was a kid. And then he told the kids that they would take a lesson from this as he had.

This doesn't happen today. I am a real offender in this situation. I haven't been there for so, so many times that I should have. The Fact that Ward Cleaver was always there for his family makes me feel like I've offended all that I love.

I guess all I have to say now is that I want my love to go to Erica's Grammy. Patricia. A very wonderful woman.

What is Illinois doing to our Military's voting rights?

Here's a story from radio station WLS-AM 890 in Chicago, Illinois.

I find this particularly disturbing because of the political atmosphere in Chicago.
The Chicago political machine is well known for it corruption and the acts of massive voter fraud that is commited in virtually every election. To deny our Military their voting rights is, in my opinion, the most despicable of all acts.

If the facts of this piece are found to be a willful act of the denial of voting rights to help sway an election, then I hope the perpetrators will receive a long and hard punishment for their actions.

But being Chicago politics as usual, they'll most likely end up giving these bums a lifetime job on our dime or at the very least a medal.

CHICAGO (WLS) - The U.S. Justice Department is investigating whether the state of Illinois missed the deadline for mailing absentee ballots to members of the military and other overseas American voters as part of a new federal overseas voting law.

Cris Cray, Director of Legislation at the Illinois State Board of Elections, says not all of Illinois' 110 jurisdictions were compliant with the 2009 Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment Act (MOVE).

The law requires every state to mail their absentee ballots 45 days prior to Election Day to overseas troops, government employees and other Americans who want to vote from abroad.

Cray says she is currently compiling data from each of Illinois' jurisdictions to determine which were compliant and which were delinquent. Cray said it's possible the ballots may not be counted because the state was tardy in sending them out.

Illinois was required to have all of its absentee ballots mailed by Sept. 18, the national deadline. Election officials have until Nov. 15 to count the absentee ballots, which must be postmarked by midnight Nov. 1 to be eligible.

In an e-mail response, Justice Department spokeswoman Xochil Hinojosa confirmed that Illinois is being investigated for the absentee ballot infraction.

"The Department is working with all states, including Illinois, to investigate and remedy any problems that will prevent our men and women serving overseas from having the opportunity to vote and have their votes counted," Hinojosa said.

The Justice Department has brought a lawsuit against the state of New York after settling with New Mexico over a similar case of delinquent absentee ballots for overseas Americans.

Several New York counties including the five boroughs of New York City were found to be in violation of the deadline after the state was permitted by the Defense Department to move its deadline to Oct. 1 because the state's primary day was four days before the deadline.

The Justice Department settled a case with New Mexico Tuesday where six counties failed to mail ballots by the deadline.

Overseas ballots could be a deciding factor in Illinois' mid-term elections where recent polls show a tight U.S. Senate race between Republican Mark Kirk and Democrat Alexi Giannoulias. Republican Bill Brady has an edge over Democratic incumbent Pat Quinn for governor.

D-Day + Sixty Six Years...

The Battle of Normandy was fought during World War II in the summer of 1944, between the Allied nations and German forces occupying Western Europe. More than 60 years later, the Normandy Invasion, or D-Day, remains the largest seaborne invasion in history, involving nearly three million troops crossing the English Channel from England to Normandy in occupied France.

Twelve Allied nations provided fighting units that participated in the invasion, including Australia, Canada, Belgium, France, Czechoslovakia, Greece, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Operation Overlord was the codename for the Allied invasion of northwest Europe. The assault phase, or the establishment of a secure foothold, was known as Operation Neptune. Operation Neptune began on D-Day (June 1, 1944) and ended on June 30, when the Allies had established a firm foothold in Normandy. Operation Overlord also began on D-Day, and continued until Allied forces crossed the River Seine on August 19.

With the invasion of Normandy, General Dwight D. Eisenhower faced a task of magnitude and hazards never before attempted. He would have to move his forces 100 miles across the English Channel and storm a heavily fortified coastline. His enemy was the weapon-and-tank-superior German army commanded by Erwin Rommel, one of the most brilliant generals of the war. Less than 15 percent of the Allied forces coming aboard the ships had ever seen combat.

An invading army had not crossed the unpredictable and dangerous English Channel since 1688. Once the massive Allied force set out, there was no turning back. The Allies boasted a 5,000-vessel armada that stretched as far as the eye could see, transporting both men and vehicles across the channel to the French beaches. In addition, the Allies had 4,000 smaller landing craft and more than 11,000 aircraft.

By nightfall on June 6, more than 9,000 Allied soldiers were dead or wounded, but more than 100,000 had made it ashore and secured French coastal villages. Within weeks, supplies were being unloaded at Utah and Omaha beachheads at the rate of more than 20,000 tons per day. By June 11, more than 326,000 troops, 55,000 vehicles, and 105,000 tons of supplies had been landed on the beaches. By June 30, the Allies had established a firm foothold in Normandy. Allied forces crossed the River Seine on August 19.

Military Intelligence was an important part of the Normandy invasion. British and American cryptographers working in London deciphered coded messages that the German believed to be unbreakable. Messages could quite often be delivered to Eisenhower within two and a half hours of the time the Germans had sent it. In addition, reconnaissance teams took infrared pictures of Omaha Beach while avoiding German patrols.

There is no official casualty figure for D-Day. It is estimated that more than 425,000 Allied and German troops were killed, wounded, or went missing during the battle. That figure includes more than 209,000 Allied casualties. In addition to roughly 200,000 German troops killed or wounded, the Allies also captured 200,000 soldiers. Captured Germans were sent to American prisoner-of-war camps at the rate of 30,000 per month, from D-Day until Christmas 1944. Between 15,000 and 20,000 French civilians were killed during the battle.

In the end, the invasion of Normandy succeeded in its objective by sheer force of numbers. By July 1944, some one million Allied troops, mostly American, British, and Canadian, were entrenched in Normandy. During the great invasion, the Allies assembled nearly three million men and stored 16 million tons of arms, munitions, and supplies in Britain.

The occupation of Normandy was crucial for the Western Allies to bring the war to the western border of Germany. If the Normandy invasion had not occurred, there could conceivably have been a complete possession of northern and western Europe by Soviet forces.

I'm not saying that we shouldn't do what we can to make the Earth a cleaner place, no one wants to live in a shithole. But to foist upon us this most damnable lie of all time is sham science at the very least and what would be considered to be a felony offense if done by one of us.

I don't know how Al Gore can look into a mirror everyday. After all, doesn't he have a house you can see from outer space? A home that uses as much energy in a year that could light up a mid-sized town? Where is his responsibility? Why isn't he leading by example? In this day and age of technology, why is it appropriate for Gore to go jetting all over the world to spread his lies? Can he not do it all on-line?

I voted Democrat because I'm way too peace-loving to own a gun. I know that if we all disarm and work for justice then oppressed peoples won't be pushed into crime and my local cops can focus on community organizing, bake sales and parades.

I was going to comment on how foolish Obama and his wife looked in as they tried to sway the International Olympic Committee in a stupid attempt to bring the 2016 Olympics to Chicago. Now that they've had their epic fail on this subject, I want to thank them for their tremendous waste of our money. American taxpayer money.

What did Obama think was going to happen if the Olympic games were given to Chicago? That all of the South Side gangbangers would go on a 16 day holiday during the games? (Hey, maybe the Olympic committee will hire them on as part of Obama's American Recovery and Reinvestment Act). Would he be able to funnel millions more into a corrupt and criminal ACORN? Does he think his star shines all around the world as it does with the lefty Hollywood crowd?

Anyway, Obumma 'n Opah don't have that kind of pull in the rest of the world. They thought they could pull a fast one on the EuroSocialistas but no dice bay-bee. Too bad, so sad.

I read this somewhere a while ago. I wish I could attribute it to someone, but my search came up with nothing.

I guess I saved it for days like these when I feel this way.

What I've read states that the national flag of the People's Republic of China (PRC) will be hoisted at the South Lawn of the White House in Washington on September 20, 2009.

WTF? Is this the kind of change that our citizens voted for?

It seems that Chinese associations in the United States had applied to hold a ceremony in front of the US President’s residence to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of PRC. Hold on now, I think I'm hallucinating. The White House is celebrating 60 years of ChiComm dictatorship? The purging from their society of all free thinkers in the name of revolution?

The ChiComm's are leading us to believe that their application was approved not only because of the sound Sino-US relations but also because China is a responsible country. Responsible?
Don't make me laugh.

Is this because the Chinese now owns most of our country? They have been buying our debt now for years while we buy their goods in the factories that we had shipped overseas because our unions (who support Obama) increased wages so high that companies went elsewhere.

I for one, am going to write all of my so-called "representatives" in government and say in no uncertain terms that this should not be allowed to happen. Let the Chinese go to Cuba and celebrate with their dear comrades there.

I usually pay no attention to Hollywood types when they are spouting off their political opinions, but I think Jon Voight has a valid point in this article from the Inside the Beltway column from the August 21, 2009 edition of the Washington Times.

The following is quoted from the Washington Times:

A Hollywood conservative has headed East. It's "Freedom Concert" time for Jon Voight. The Academy Award winner will join Sean Hannity in Cincinnati and Atlanta this weekend to honor fallen soldiers and present college scholarships to surviving children. Mr. Voight - a warrior himself in many ways - has been cogitating about the state of America, meanwhile. "There's a real question at stake now. Is President Obama creating a civil war in our own country?" Mr. Voight tells Inside the Beltway.

"We are witnessing a slow, steady takeover of our true freedoms. We are becoming a socialist nation, and whoever can't see this is probably hoping it isn't true. If we permit Mr. Obama to take over all our industries, if we permit him to raise our taxes to support unconstitutional causes, then we will be in default. This great America will become a paralyzed nation."

Be outraged, Mr. Voight advises.

"Do not let the Obama administration fool you with all their cunning Alinsky methods. And if you don't know what that method is, I implore you to get the book 'Rules for Radicals,' by Saul Alinsky. "So I ask again. Is President Obama creating a civil war in our own country?"

Wait a minute. Did I say Jon Voight has a point? What I really should be saying is that he’s hit the nail right on the head and it’s been driven all the way through a 6 x 6 post. What he’s saying is that if we allow the government to rule every aspect of our daily lives then we will get what we deserve, a country where there’s no initiative, no self destiny. A place where no one will try harder because in the end they’ll just get the same as everyone else. If anyone wants to take the time to see how much of a waiting period they would have under ObamaCare, just take a look at the waiting periods socialized medicine has in Canada and Europe.

When I was a puppy, I entertained you with my antics and made you laugh. You called me your child, and despite a number of chewed shoes and a couple of murdered throw pillows, I became your best friend. Whenever I was "bad," you'd shake your finger at me and ask "How could you?" -- but then you'd relent and roll me over for a belly rub.

My housebreaking took a little longer than expected, because you were terribly busy, but we worked on that together. I remember those nights of nuzzling you in bed and listening to your confidences and secret dreams, and I believed that life could not be any more perfect. We went for long walks and runs in the park, car rides, stops for ice cream (I only got the cone because "ice cream is bad for dogs" you said), and I took long naps in the sun waiting for you to come home at the end of the day.

Gradually, you began spending more time at work and on your career, and more time searching for a human mate. I waited for you patiently, comforted you through heartbreaks and disappointments, never chided you about bad decisions, and romped with glee at your homecomings, and when you fell in love. She, now your wife, is not a "dog person" - - still I welcomed her into our home, tried to show her affection, and obeyed her. I was happy because you were happy.

Then the human babies came along and I shared your excitement. I was fascinated by their pinkness, how they smelled, and I wanted to mother them, too. Only she and you worried that I might hurt them, and I spent most of my time banished to another room, or to a dog crate. Oh, how I wanted to love them, but I became a "prisoner of love." As they began to grow, I became their friend. They clung to my fur and pulled themselves up on wobbly legs, poked fingers in my eyes, investigated my ears, and gave me kisses on my nose. I loved everything about them and their touch -- because your touch was now so infrequent -- and I would've defended them with my life if need be. I would sneak into their beds and listen to their worries and secret dreams, and together we waited for the sound of your car in the driveway.

There had been a time, when others asked you if you had a dog, that you produced a photo of me from your wallet and told them stories about me. These past few years, you just answered "yes" and changed the subject. I had gone from being "your dog" to "just a dog ," and you resented every expenditure on my behalf.

Now, you have a new career opportunity in another city, and you and they will be moving to an apartment that does not allow pets. You've made the right decision for your "family," but there was a time when I was your only family.

I was excited about the car ride until we arrived at the animal shelter. It smelled of dogs and cats, of fear, of hopelessness. You filled out the paperwork and said "I know you will find a good home for her." They shrugged and gave you a pained look. They understand the realities facing a middle-aged dog, even one with "papers." You had to pry your son's fingers loose from my collar as he screamed "No, Daddy! Please don't let them take my dog!" And I worried for him, and what lessons you had just taught him about friendship and loyalty, about love and responsibility, and about respect for all life. You gave me a good-bye pat on the head, avoided my eyes, and politely refused to take my collar and leash with you. You had a deadline to meet and now I have one, too. After you left, the two nice ladies said you probably knew about your upcoming move months ago and made no attempt to find me another good home. They shook their heads and asked, "How could you?"

They are as attentive to us here in the shelter as their busy schedules allow. They feed us, of course, but I lost my appetite days ago. At first, whenever anyone passed my pen, I rushed to the front, hoping it was you that you had changed your mind -- that this was all a bad dream... or I hoped it would at least be someone who cared, anyone who might save me.

When I realized I could not compete with the frolicking for attention of happy puppies, oblivious to their own fate, I retreated to a far corner and waited. I heard her footsteps as she came for me at the end of the day, and I padded along the aisle after her to a separate room. A blissfully quiet room. She placed me on the table and rubbed my ears, and told me not to worry. My heart pounded in anticipation of what was to come, but there was also a sense of relief. The prisoner of love had run out of days.

As is my nature, I was more concerned about her. The burden which she bears weighs heavily on her, and I knew that, the same way I knew your every mood. She gently placed a tourniquet around my foreleg as a tear ran down her cheek. I licked her hand in the same way I used to comfort you so many years ago. She expertly slid the hypodermic needle into my vein. As I felt the sting and the cool liquid coursing through my body, I lay down sleepily, looked into her kind eyes and murmured, "How could you?"

Perhaps because she understood my dog speak, she said, "I'm so sorry." She hugged me, and hurriedly explained it was her job to make sure I went to a better place, where I wouldn't be ignored or abused or abandoned, or have to fend for myself -- a place of love and light so very different from this earthly place. And with my last bit of energy, I tried to convey to her with a thump of my tail that my "How could you?" was not directed at her. It was directed at you, My Beloved Master, I was thinking of you. I will think of you and wait for you forever. May everyone in your life continue to show you so much loyalty.

3. No one will care about how good they do their job. Why care if the lazy are paid the same as the dilligent. We is all equal, isn 't we?

In company with our brave Allies and brothers in arms on other Fronts, you will bring about the destruction of the German war machine, the elimination of Nazi tyranny over the oppressed peoples of Europe, and security for ourselves in a free world.

This message was given to our Allied troops the day of the Normandy invasion of Nazi occupied France. Notice that it gets right to the heart of the matter and doesn't beat around the bush. General Eisenhower states quite frankly that the Nazis will fight tooth and nail. They have the actual combat experience that many of our Allied forces lack. They have been tested, and to a large degree they have won.

Also notice that General Eisenhower asks God for his blessing. This was not frowned upon in those days. Today we would have the ACLU and other communist/socialist/atheist groups condemning the General for beseeching the help of God. Too bad we are not so tolerant today as we were then.

Lets not kid ourselves. If Hitler and Nazi Germany had decided to sue for a peace, it probably would have been accepted, for a while at least. If Hitler hadn't decided to invade Russia then western Europe would still be under the yoke of Nazism. But thanks to God, Hitler was a madman. A psychopath bent on destruction by any means. If we had allowed the Nazi state to survive, then with their crazy ideas about eugenics and the so-called "master race" would still be in effect for occupied Europe. And if by some better luck by plotters of assasination of Hitler, there still may have been a chance to end the war with an intact Nazi Europe.

I wish to thank all the men and women for their service and lives to protect our liberty and freedom.

He was getting old and paunchy and his hair was falling fast, And he sat around the Legion,telling stories of the past.

Of a war that he had fought in and the deeds that he had done, In his exploits with his buddies; they were heroes, every one.

And tho' sometimes, to his neighbors,his tales became a joke,All his Legion buddies listened, for they knew whereof he spoke.

But we'll hear his tales no longer for old Bill has passed away, And the world's a little poorer, for a soldier died today.

He will not be mourned by many,just his children and his wife, For he lived an ordinary and quite uneventful life.

When politicians leave this earth,their bodies lie in state, While thousands note their passing and proclaim that they were great.

Papers tell their whole life stories, from the time that they were young, But the passing of a soldier goes unnoticed and unsung.

Is the greatest contribution to the welfare of our land, A guy who breaks his promises and cons his fellow man?

Or the ordinary fellow who, in times of war and strife, Goes off to serve his Country and offers up his life?

A politician's stipend and the style in which he lives, Are sometimes disproportionate to the service that he gives.

It's so easy to forget them for it was so long ago,That the old Bills of our Country went to battle, but we know

It was not the politicians, with their compromise and ploys, Who won for us the freedom that our Country now enjoys.

Should you find yourself in danger,with your enemies at hand, Would you want a politician with his ever-shifting stand?

Or would you prefer a soldier,who has sworn to defend His home, his kin and Country and would fight until the end?

He was just a common soldier and his ranks are growing thin, But his presence should remind us we may need his like again.

For when countries are in conflict, then we find the soldier's part Is to clean up all the troubles that the politicians start.

If we cannot do him honor while he's here to hear the praise,Then at least let's give him homage at the ending of his days.

Perhaps just a simple headline in a paper that would say,

Our Country is in mourning, for a soldier died today.

Red Sox Great, "The Little Professor", Dom Dimaggio, has passed....

DiMaggio was a seven-time All Star who still holds the record for the longest consecutive game hitting streak in Boston Red Sox history.

Known as the “Little Professor” because of his eyeglasses and 5-foot-9, 168-pound frame, DiMaggio hit safely in 34 consecutive games in 1949. The streak was broken on Aug. 9 when his big brother caught a sinking liner in the eighth inning of a 6-3 Red Sox win over the Yankees.

The younger DiMaggio also had a 27-game hitting streak in 1951, which still ranks as the fifth longest in Red Sox history. Joe set the major league record with a 56-game hitting streak with the Yankees in 1941.

The oldest of the three center field-playing DiMaggio brothers was Vince, who had a 10-year major league career with five National League teams. Joe died in March 1999, while Vince died in October 1986.

Dom DiMaggio spent his entire career with the Red Sox, 10 full seasons plus three games in 1953, and was teammates and close friends with Ted Williams, Bobby Doerr and Johnny Pesky.

Never let a little thing like equal treatment by the law get in the way of illegal immigration...

Actual laws enacted and enforced in a country in our hemisphere...

1. There will be NO special bilingual programs in the schools, NO special ballots for elections, and all government business will be conducted in our language.

2. Foreigners will NOT have the right to vote, no matter how long they are here.

3. Foreigners will NEVER be able to hold political office.

4. Foreigners will NOT be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, NO food stamps, NO health care, nor any other government assistance programs.

5. Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage.

6. If foreigners do come and want to buy land that will be okay, BUT options will be restricted. You are NOT allowed to own waterfront property. That property is reserved for citizens naturally born into this country.

7. Foreigners may NOT protest; NO demonstrations, NO waving a foreign flag, NO political organizing, NO "bad-mouthing" our president or his policies. If you do you will be sent home or arrested (along with spending some time in one of those fine "resort" style Mexican jails).

8. If you do come to this country illegally, you will be hunted down and sent straight to jail.

Harsh, you say ? We American Legal Citizens are now being racist because we don't need anymore illegal border jumpers infected with viruses of any kind but the above laws happen to be the immigration laws of MEXICO!

So why don't we just adopt these same laws? There would be no debate, no criticism of policies, no protest from the Mexicans because it's their own laws!

Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensed pharmacist ".

We really need to tighten our borders, but I'm afraid "El Presidente' Obama" would see that as racist.

A Little History on Gun Control...

Just facts that "progressives" want to ignore in favor of their ultimate goal: To disarm Americans in favor of political correctness.

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million 'educated' people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars.

The first year results are now in:
Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent
Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent
Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!
In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent.

Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!

It will never happen here?

I'd bet the Aussies said that too! While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.

There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australia n society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.

You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late! The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind him of this history lesson.

During W.W.II the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED! Note: Admiral Yamamoto who crafted the attack on Pearl Harbor had attended Harvard University 1919-1921 & was Naval Attaché to the U. S. 1925-28. Most of our Navy was destroyed at Pearl Harbor & our Army had been deprived of funding & was ill prepared to defend the country.

It was reported that when asked why Japan did not follow up the Pearl Harbor attack with an invasion of the United States mainland, his reply was that he had lived in the U. S. & knew that almost all households had guns.

Obama's Healthcare Policy = Bad Medicine!

I suppose if the new Obama Administration's health care plan tasted bad but you ended up feeling as good as Lucy Ricardo in the "Vitameatavegamin" episode it would be easier to swallow.

The idea that your health care would be dictated by the government is at the least dumb and at the worst fatal. If a sick person had to go through a government agency to receive medical care they would probably be dead two years before some bureaucrat gets to review their case.

Do we really want to leave our medical decisions to the government? What if they decide that an 80 year old that needs a transplant shouldn't get it because they would "only" live for an extra few years and the money would be better spent on a younger recipient? Are you comfortable for a government agency making quality of life judgements for you?

And just where is the money going to come from? President Obama is proposing to set aside $634 billion for health care reform over the next 10 years by raising taxes on the wealthy and cutting Medicare costs.

Obama proposes to cut the charitable giving deduction for families earning over $250,000 from 35% to 28% and using that money to help fund his plan. Think of it this way, as the tax laws stand now, a couple who gives $10,000 to charity gets a deduction credit of $3,500. If Obama's plan goes ahead that same couple will receive a maximum deduction of $2,800. Will this have any effect on charitable giving? I hope not but in reality it probably will.

But the worst aspect of BHO's plan is that it will in effect make government and the private health care compete for a finite amount of health care dollars. And what's more, the new plan would shrink payments to Medicare by $316 billion. That's the system that funds health care to the elderly and disabled.

There are three parts to the President's plan:

1. Quality, Affordable & Portable Health Coverage For All.
2. Modernizing The U.S. Health Care System To Lower Costs & Improve Quality.
3. Promoting Prevention & Strengthening Public Health.

All lofty goals. But realistic? I think not. He says the plan will save families about $2,500/year. Yeah, OK. I'll wait for that just like I'm still waiting for Governor Coupe Deval's "middle class tax cut" that he promised before becoming governor.

Me? For now I'll just keep on taking my happy pills and hope this is all just either a poorly written movie or a very disturbing nightmare that I hope I'll wake up from someday.

It's Friday the 13th. Why the Superstition?

This all started back with the Last Supper and other cultures added their spin.

Here's the story:

The Superstition Behind Friday the 13th: It's strange how society has come to accept "superstition" so plainly and unquestioning. Go to every hotel in the States and there is almost never a floor with the number 13 in it. However, if you should venture to a hotel in Italy, you will indeed find that 13 is not skipped over. In fact, a gold charm of the number is given to Italian infants to ensure good luck and prosperity in their developing life. Why then, is there such suspicion surrounding 13?

Furthermore, ever wonder what makes Friday the 13th so "evil"? (Note: Friday the 13th was considered a day of bad luck and evil long before the movies came out!) There are various theories surrounding 13.

Since Christianity has had a extremely large influence on all societies as a whole, we shall look there first. At the "Final Supper" or "Last Supper" (whoever you chose to term it) there were 13 guests. Some believe Jesus to be the 13th at feast, occurring just before he was Crucified. This is a largely debatable theory, however. How does one know where to start counting? Many chose to go by the painting "The Last Supper," forgetting that this is an artist's interpretation of an event he did not attend. The painting depicts the disciples and Jesus at a table, but evidence suggests that the last supper was not conducted at a table. Rather the participants were seated on the ground where it was cooler. (The climate in Israel, at that time, suggests they would have stayed on the ground to keep cool.) Furthermore, where to start counting (when assuming the picture is accurate)? If one started with Judas, Jesus became the 13th guest. Conversely, if the count began at Jesus, it was indeed Judas who was 13. Both options would contribute to the mystique surrounding 13: Jesus, for he was killed soon after the feast, Judas for he was the betrayer of Jesus. On an additional, though little proven, note, some have claimed to be a 13th tribe of Israel. The bible proclaims only 12, and a very high percentage of Christians and Jews deny that a 13th tribe even exist. However, a few recognize that a group had, falsely, identified themselves as a 13th tribe. The members of the "13th tribe" were labeled as "witches" and "sorcerers," an evil group who determine to destroy followers of God.

Plainly, this does not lend any favor to 13, and adds more propaganda against Witchcraft. The fact that so many haven't even heard of this 13th Tribe makes the probability of the labeling of "Witches" being accurate extremely low. (Furthermore, the low probability simply further illustrates the false propaganda Christian organizations are willing to put forth in order to label Witchcraft as evil.) Friday the 13th comes into play when it is observed that Jesus was Crucified on a Friday.

Obviously, should one chose to accept this theory, the day associated with the death of the Savior would lend to the supposed bad luck which occupies this particular date. It is said, also, that it was a Friday when Adam and Eve ate the fruit. Furthermore, Friday used to be the 6th day of the week, it was not until more recent times that it became the 5th day. 6, being the number biblically associated with man, relates to the Devil. 3 is the number of the Holy Trinity, therefore with 6 being the number of man, 666 was denoted as the number of the Beast. (A Trinity of Six, signifying the God of Man, Satan) One can hardly find this connection to Satan adding to the "good name" of Friday the 13th.

Also, any month with a Friday the 13th must begin with a Sunday the 1st. Curiosity leads one to ask if a significance lies in the observation that only months that begin with the day God decided to rest (Sunday), after "creating the world," yield a day of such supposed demonic evil and misfortune. To the Norse Friday was the luckiest day of the week, being named after Freya, one of their Deities. Also named after Venus, in Rome and France.

For Mohammedans, Friday after sunset is also the Sabbath. The implications connecting Darkness, and hence Sunset (the transition from light to dark), and Evil would indeed lend to the idea of misfortune which surrounds Friday the 13th, to those who find the Muslim path as evil and heathen. Mohammedans also say that Adam was created on a Friday. It can be seen that it is largely within the Christian ranks that Friday takes on a significant connotation of evil when teamed with the 13th.

To continue on, perhaps extending a bit further in the past than Christian influence, a mythological occurrence presents:

At the banquet in Valhalla, of which there were 12 guests, Loki, God of Deceit, intruded, becoming the uninvited 13th guest. In Norse mythology, Balder was the god of light and beauty. The most beloved of the gods, he was the son of Odin and Frigg and the husband of Nanna, goddess of the Moon. Balder was killed by Loki's treachery during the proceedings. Through Loki's interference, the return of Balder, from the possession of Hel, was an impossible task. To return Balder, Hel demanded that all living things beg for the god's return. All respond except a giantess, Thokk (Loki in disguise), whose refusal to weep forces Balder to remain in Hel's domain. There are 13 members which make up a Wicca/Pagan Coven to fully cast the Circle. 13 was sacred because it represented the amount of lunar months in year (Thirteen Full Moons).

It has also been speculated that 13 was maximum # of people that could fit comfortably in a traditional Circle with a 9 foot diameter. 6 male-female couples and a priest or priestess. Not so surprising is the understanding that 13, being a sacred number to most Pagan traditions, was therefore considered evil by early Christians. It took very little for the religious leaders to invent a dogma to counter the Pagans sacred number.

The question can be posed: If the mystique surrounding 13 is not invented dogma, why then do hotels hold rooms labeled #666? Why is this number not also omitted? For a superstition to spread so far it must be distributed through a largely influential source, such as Christianity. A 3rd Grade Teacher wrote this:

The most eye-opening civics lesson I ever had was while teaching third grade this year.

The presidential election was heating up and some of the children showed an interest.

I decided we would have an election for a class president. We would choose our nominees.

They would make a campaign speech and the class would vote. To simplify the process,
candidates were nominated by other class members.

We discussed what kinds of characteristics these students should have. We got many
nominations and from those, Jamie and Olivia were picked to run for the top spot.

The class had done a great job in their selections. Both candidates were good kids.
I thought Jamie might have an advantage because he got lots of parental support.
I had never seen Olivia's mother.

The day arrived when they were to make their speeches, Jamie went first.
He had specific ideas about how to make our class a better place.
He ended by promising to do his very best. Every one applauded.

He sat down and Olivia came to the podium.

Olivia's speech was concise. She said, "If you will vote for me, I will give you ice cream."

She sat down.

The class went wild. "Yes! Yes! We want ice cream."

She surely would say more. She did not have to. A discussion followed.

How did she plan to pay for the ice cream? She wasn't sure.

Would her parents buy it or would the class pay for it. She didn't know.
The class really didn't care. All they were thinking about was ice cream.

Jamie was forgotten. Olivia won by a land slide!

We are seeing images every day on TV that show the damage Israel is putting forth on the criminals of Hamas. But where were the same images shown on our televisions of the over 6,000 rockets fired into Israel in the past few years?

Where was Katie Couric on those?

How about Chris Matthews? Maybe he was still excited from the tingling feeling he had down his legs when he heard Barack Obama speak.

Keith Oblowmann? Another apologizer for the Islamists. After all "We just don't understand"! What's to understand about honor killings? What's to understand about stoning women for the simple reason that they've talked to a man who wasn't their husband? Can any of you explain how this is acceptable?

On to the Gaza conflict.

Is Israel starving and denying the "Palestinians" food, water, power and medical treatment? I think not. The Israelis have not just allowed, but insisted upon relief supplies be transported to the Gaza zone. These efforts have repeatedly come under fire from the criminal Hamas organization. Hamas and their minions have built tunnels to supposedly to get their supplies for living. You know, stuff we take for granted in America. Instead they transported weapons through those same tunnels. Hell, they got enough guns and missiles through the tunnels, but couldn't get food and meds? It's all a bunch of shit. No one wanted the land where Israel now stands before they got there. The so-called "Palestinians" just wandered around. In fact there was never a country called "Palestine". It was considered a region, much like how we call the Sahara Desert a region. Only when the Jewish people were able to conceive and build a state were any of the "Palestinians" interested in that plot of land. The Israelis made that once desolate area bloom with life. Now that there was something there worth having, the nomads wanted back in. Yeah guys, you want it when it's good but no interest when you were there the 1st time. Bye Bye.

There's "Global Warming" and then there's "Man Made Global Warming".

Two different things. The earth goes through cycles just like humans do. Humans change with age and the Earth changes due to its own internal processes and from solar activity. To say that man is the cause is the epitome of arrogance. We are no more able to control the Earth and it's weather than we can control what the next lottery numbers are going to be.

Earth has been hot. Earth has been cold. In the grand scheme of things the Earth has thrived when it's warmer. More types of plants and animals develop. It's the "Man Made Global Warming" bullshit that's shown as being a lie.

More and more scientists are coming forward and saying the data just doesn't add up. The scientists stayed silent until now because if they didn't go along this the scam, they'd be out of jobs, out of their grant money and out of the business due to the overwhelming pressure the scammers like Gore are putting on our places of higher learning.

6. Human activities contribute slightly to greenhouse gas concentrations through farming, manufacturing, power generation, and transportation. However, these emissions are so dwarfed in comparison to emissions from natural sources we can do nothing about, that even the most costly efforts to limit human emissions would have a very small - perhaps undetectable - effect on global climate.

I used to assume that most Americans understand socialism is an evil, immoral system of economics and government.

But then I'll have a conversation with a younger person who has been taught throughout their life that only the government can spread wealth fairly or that market economics is inherently corrupt.

So, let’s ask the real question: "What does socialism bring us?"

Here are a few things you might like to think about:

-Do you believe in private property?
-How would you feel if someone took yours?
-Where has socialism ever succeeded?
-What does the government do well?
-What does the Bible have to say about economics?
-What did America's founders have to say about economics?
-Is socialism constitutional?

If you answer these questions honestly, you’ll see that socialism is an unmitigated disaster.

Most people believe in private property – especially their own.

Most people don't like having their things stolen. In fact, it's government's job to protect you from theft, not to be the thief.

Most people will be unable to point to a single successful socialist experiment – unless they choose some relatively new Western nation with a "mixed economy." Those include Canada, formerly Great Britain, France and other European countries. Those countries are more aptly described as “Social Democracies” You might even say that America fits this category. It's important to recognize that mere survival as a nation over a period of time does not make for a successful experiment. Socialism, for instance, aims to eliminate or reduce poverty. In none of these nations has poverty been eliminated or reduced as a result of socialist experiments.

Most people recognize that government is necessary, but inefficient. What they might not recognize is that it is also poses the greatest threat to freedom. The more power it has, the less freedom individual citizens have. Government is a necessary evil – something that should be tolerated as a limited nuisance, not counted on for your basic needs.

Most people don't realize the Bible countenances private property. It holds it up as honorable – as long as it does not become a diversion from God, as long as it does not become man's god.

Most people apparently forget what our founders had to say about property. They forget that our Constitution expressly limits the power of the federal government. You could say constitutionally limited government is the opposite of socialism.

It's going to be a painful awakening when Americans see how the country will be under the new Obama administration.

-Wait until you see how expensive "free" health care really is.
-Wait until you see how little wealth you have after they spread it around.
-Wait until you see what it's like to have to ask a government bureaucrat for permission to do things you once took for granted.

That's what socialism brings us. People have to see it for themselves.

They have to experience the misery and the control the government will exert over their lives.

They have to see it with their own eyes to believe it.

Maybe then, we will have a chance to get America back on track.

Maybe then, we will have enough courage and desire to fight to regain what we have lost.

Maybe then, our experiences will protect us, for awhile, from the freedom-stealers.

Maybe then, we will have enough sense to educate our young people as to the inherent evils of socialism – so they won't be fooled, again.

Once upon a time, there was a charismatic and eloquent young leader who decided his nation needed a change and that he was the one to implement it. The people were receptive and ready for change.

He spoke passionately when denouncing the existing system and the media loved him. Nobody questioned what he believed in or who his friends were. He would help the poor and bring free medical care and education to all. He would bring justice and equality. He said I am for hope and change, and I will bring you both. Few people bothered to ask about the change, and by the time the executioner’s guns went silent, all personal firearms had been confiscated, along with most personal freedoms.

When everyone was finally equal, they were (and are) equally poor, hungry and miserable. Their free education was (and is) all but worthless. Their free and universal health care was (and remains despite what Michael Moore says) a travesty. When the change was fully implemented, the country had been reduced to Third World status. More than a million people fled in small boats and rafts.

The charismatic young leader was Fidel Castro; the nation is Cuba.

The citizens of the United States would never fall for a charismatic, eloquent young leader who promises hope and change without asking, “what kind of change, and how much will it cost us?” – would we?

A Remembrance: September 11, 2001

Every year for the past 6 I’ve been very sad and angry on this day. Seven years ago today, as Americans went about their daily business, children going to school, parents heading off to work, police and fire personnel manning their stations, a murderous group of Islamists attacked our country. I remember so vividly the cowardly terror attacks on America. This morning I awoke and immediately remembered the ones who were murdered that day. I said a prayer just like I’ve done for the past 6 September 11th’s. I got up, did my morning routine and came to work. I’m still angry. You say, “Get over it”? I say no chance in hell will I ever forgive OR forget. It’s something that’s been seared into my brain like a bad dream come true.

I remember what that ~~Mensa member~~ Idiot, Bill Maher said on his now defunct ABC propaganda program shortly after the attacks: “We have been the cowards, lobbing Cruise missiles from 2,000 miles away. That's cowardly. Staying in the airplane when it hits the building, say what you want about it, not cowardly”.

Well Bill, you are wrong on so many counts. And here are just a few of my reasons:

- Taking innocent civilians hostage and murdering them is cowardly.
- Attacking non-military targets is cowardly.
- Using civilian passenger planes as missiles is cowardly.

There is a HUGE difference between what our brave American military men and women do and the cowardly acts of terrorists.

- America tells you in advance that we are coming and why. No bullshit, no sneaking. It’s up to the enemy to prepare their defense.
- America comes at the terrorists in full uniform and under our flag. No hiding behind civilian clothes and posing as ordinary travelers or civilians.
- America does its best to avoid any “collateral damage” (BTW, I hate that term). The cowards we go after are different. They don’t care who else gets killed or maimed in the name of Islam.
- America doesn’t hide behind the civilian population. The cowardly terrorists do. They hide behind women and children. They attack from schools, hospitals and mosques knowing full well that U.S. military personnel are reluctant and under orders NOT to return fire.

You know, there are times when our country and our leaders are wrong. Lots of times. I see that and while I’m not at all happy about it, I can also see the good we have done across the world. Even in places where we are despised and denigrated, we continue to help.

That’s just the way we are here in the United States of America.

We give and give more.

We help and keep on helping.

We are a good nation of all sorts of people who want to do what’s right and just.

Why? Because she’s not a lifelong politician and talks like a real person. No platitudes. No bullshit. No beating around the bush. Governor Sarah Palin is exactly what John McCain needs to co-pilot his “Straight Talk Express”.

Some of the liberal pundits stated after her GOP Convention VP acceptance speech that all it proved was that she could read a teleprompter. Huh? Well, so can Barack Obama. The difference is that Sarah Palin actually came up with specific policy points, whereas Obama speaks only in generalities. Where is Barack’s plan for America (other than taxing us to death?)

Obama likes to speak of change. I’m thinkin’ that’s all we’ll have left after he initiates all his pie in the sky social programs. Yes, according to Obama, government can cure all the ills of society. And Barack, old buddy, old pal, old sweat sock…Change just for changes sake is no change at all. You’ve proved that it’ll be more of the same with your choice of Sen. Joe Biden as your running mate. Who’s more entrenched in government that Joe? Well, maybe Teddy Kennedy.

The last thing I want is to find a guy in a cheap suit at my front door saying “I’m from the government and I’m here to help you”. As a working person I do not recall even once that I’ve truly benefited from any government program. And when I’ve tried to receive some kind of assistance it’s always been more trouble than it’s worth. People like me don’t have the help of publicly paid advocates who can do all the leg work and grease the wheels. It seems that the beneficiaries of government programs are always somebody else. The folks who don’t or won’t work. The folks who are happy to collect your and my hard earned taxes while they lie about and bitch that they aren’t getting enough.

Sarah Palin is just who we need in Washington D.C. Someone who’s not entrenched in the whole D.C. culture. An outsider who knows how to push back and not accept the status quo just because that’s the way it’s always been. No one told her she couldn't do it. She didn't need the backing of N.O.W. to get ahead. In fact she's just what the radical feminist crowd abhor. A self driven woman who won't take no for an answer.

Just seeing the beating Sarah’s getting from the MSM makes me all the more supportive. I was going to have to vote for John McCain if only because the thought of a President Obama chills me to the bone. The fact that he’s chosen Gov. Palin for his running mate shows me that McCain is serious about enacting some real change in Washington, not some baloney slices that Obama’s throwing our way hoping it’ll stick.

I just have a better feeling about this election than I had only last week.

As much as I was against Hillary Clinton and her policies, I believe that she had, at least from her political point of view, the best interests of America in her poor, broken socialist heart.

As far as I'm concerned, his past does not pass the "smell test".

We don't have to but we should.

We should have been doing lots of things for the past 30+ years to get rid of our foreign oil dependence. But we didn't. With either a Democrat or Republican president we did nothing. Now we're getting fucked.

It's all about the US Dollar. The buck is weak compared to other currencies. Oil gets traded in Dollars. Speculators are betting that the dollar will get weaker and the price of oil will go up so they bid on a price they want to lock into.

It's been said that if we drill ANWR now we won't see relief for maybe ten years. OK, maybe. But what it will do is relieve some of the pressure on the dollar so that speculation prices will start to lower to a reasonable amount.

You see, if it shows that we won't NEED as much foreign oil and therefore won't be BUYING as much, the price of oil on the world market will stabilize. The Saudi's, Venezuela and others that are squeezing our balls will see their shares drop so they'll have to accommodate to a reasonable pricing.

In the meantime instead of bitchin' that we've done nothing about alternative energy, we should be pushing both the short term plan (our own oil) and the long term goal of energy independence via alternative energy.

Now someone get me a drink and a Motrin please. I gotta headache from thinkin' about this shit that everyone yells and bitches about but doesn't want a real world, real life answer to.
Instead of that fantasy of instant "green" energy.

This Global Warming Nonsense, when does it end?

Texas Representative Ted Poe has hit the nail right on it's head.

In the name of "saving the planet", liberal/socialists are forcing the use of mercury filled lightbulbs.

Yes, they do save energy but at what cost?
Are we going to be required to dispose of these as we do with our old paints and other household chemicals?
Are we going to be charged a fee/tax on the disposal?

And what about all the jobs lost by the companies who manufacture the old incandesant light bulbs? I know a good amount of them are made in other countries too but many are made here in America as well.

I'm not a scientist but from my own reading and research our Sun has a much more massive effect on the Earths atmosphere than anything man is doing now. Outside of an all out nuclear war poisoning our plantet, we are having little or no effect on the CO2 content of our atmosphere.

I've not seen any conclusive proof of this so-called man made global climate change. I put the Al Gores and the Hollywood "Elite" into the same category as the 9-11 Truth movement.

U.S. Supreme Court backs Guantanamo detainees. Why?

Three years ago, Adbullah Saleh al-Ajmi was safely locked away at Guantanamo Bay.

Two weeks ago, he blew himself up in Iraq, brutally murdering seven people.

How did he get out of his prison cell at Gitmo? Easy. His U.S.-based lawyers walked him out the front door!

That despite strong arguments from U.S. counterterrorism analysts arguing that al-Ajmi should under no circumstances be freed since...

-He deserted from the Kuwaiti army to participate in jihad in Afghanistan
-The Taliban supplied him with arms, including grenades
-He admitted fighting with the Taliban, including engaging in two or three firefights
-He was captured by coalition forces in the Tora Bora region, an area thought to be a hideout of Osama bin Laden
-Upon his arrival at Gitmo, he demonstrated "aggressive" behavior
-And based on a review of classified and unclassified documents, al-Ajmi was declared a threat to the U.S. and its allies.

But after Al-Ajmi's lawyers denied all the charges, the U.S. government folded and sent him back home to Kuwait.

Of course, now his family refers to him as "The Martyr Abdullah".

Nevertheless, the international community is clamoring for us to close down Gitmo, Senators Obama, Clinton and McCain are all desperate for us to close Gitmo, and even President Bush wants to see Gitmo closed.

And it looks like they're going to get their wish. Just this week, the U.S. released three MORE Guantanamo detainees, including Sami al-Haj, a suspected courier for Al Qaeda.

Terrifying? Oh yes. Surprising? Sadly, no.

We hear daily from the media all the bad news about this country. Today there was a "major" report that employment (new jobs) have fallen over the previous months. But next week, if you listen hard, there will be a report that new hires have risen over last month.

I'm not a PC type of guy so I'll give you my opinion whether you'll agree or be offended.

All I know is that for all the apprehension I felt with the fact that Hillary Clinton could have been elected, I feel downright fear at the possibility of a President Obama. At least with Clinton I had the feeling that she had a very firm idea of what she was getting into.

With Obama, I don't think he's got a clue.

A nice-sounding bill called the "Global Poverty Act," sponsored by Democratic presidential candidate and Senator Barack Obama, is up for a Senate vote on Thursday and could result in the imposition of a global tax on the United States. The bill, which has the support of many liberal religious groups, makes levels of U.S. foreign aid spending subservient to the dictates of the United Nations.

Senator Joe Biden, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, has not endorsed either Senator Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton in the presidential race. But on Thursday, February 14, he is trying to rush Obama's "Global Poverty Act" (S.2433) through his committee. The legislation would commit the U.S. to spending 0.7 percent of gross national product on foreign aid, which amounts to a phenomenal 13-year total of $845 billion over and above what the U.S. already spends.

It appears the Senate version is being pushed not only by Biden and Obama, a member of the committee, but Richard Lugar, the ranking Republican member.

I have to ask, when has the burden on ending global poverty been America's responsibility?

How can Obama be serious about putting a greater tax burden on the American people for foreign aid when by his own accounts there is so much to be done about poverty here in the United States?

As Americans we are well known for our generosity. We are consistently the first ones to arrive when there are world disasters. We give with our money, sweat and blood. We give to charity even when things are looking down. We give even though our own situation my not be the best. We do it because it's the right thing to do, to help people less fortunate is not required, it is the morally decent thing to do. We don't look for pats on the back and "atta boys", it just gets done because it's right.

Now when Barrack Obama says he wants to put an extra tax burden on American citizens to the tune of $8,500 per household, we have to say "Whoa, hold your horses". There's so much to be done here in our country first.

To take from our citizens at a time when the doomsayers are shouting "recession and depression" cannot happen.

Especially if the United Nations in the going to be the banker, the organization that doles out these funds. We all saw how well the U.N.'s Oil for Food program worked. The top dawgs in the U.N. got rich off of that

It's funny how so many are coming forward and calling his speech a disgrace - calling it an insult to Jews and to Israel itself.

It's funny that some of you are saying this despite the fact that he received a standing ovation after giving that speech!

And it's very funny how Senator Barack Obama calls the speech "a disgraceful attack on me and my campaign" He then says, "I never said I would sit down and talk with our enemies" Well, if you never said it, how is President Bush's speech an attack on you?

Bush reaffirmed to Israel that the America will continue to support her and not give in to the demands of terrorists. He was applauded for this by the very people you all claim were offended.

When have Israel's enemies - Hezbollah, Hamas, the PLO, and Al-Qaeda ever asked for talks to resolve the situation? When have these groups ever said, "Look, we think it's unfair and we would like to work out a diplomatic solution"? NEVER! Instead, they brainwash their followers into believing suicide bombing is the way to salvation.

President Bush was right in this speech. Our enemy can be compared to Hitler. He never tried to negotiate either - he just sent his troops out wherever he wanted a piece of land.

Those who think our enemies now are any different are incredibly foolish. I am sure if Bin Laden, instead of financing terrorist attacks, instead used his wealth and influence to seek diplomatic solutions, the America would have been happy to sit down with him. But that's not how people like Bin Laden operate.

The Bin Laden's of this world don't want anything but to see us dead, enslaved or assimilated into Islam.

Remember that line in the movie "Independence Day". When President Whitmore asks the captured alien "What do you want us to do?" the alien replies "Die, Die!". I view radical Islam as an alien culture and that line is dead on with their attitude towards Western Civilization.

So Senator Obama, I ask you, do you think you can change their minds?

Let's consider the following that has taken place since:

Less than two years ago:
1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;
2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;
3) The unemployment rate was 4.5%.

Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we have seen:
1) Consumer confidence plummet;
2) The cost of regular gasoline soar to over $3.50 a gallon;
3) Unemployment is up to 5% (a 10% increase);
4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);
5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars;
6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure..

America voted for change in 2006, and we got it!

Remember it is Congress that makes law not the President. He has to work with what's handed to him.

And this Democratic Congress has been sitting on it's collective thumbs rotating while they blame it all on the current administration.

A liberal is a person who will give away everything he doesn't don't own.

The L.A. Times in all its "wisdom" has decided that because Presidential Candidate John McCain is receiving a disability pension for the U.S. Navy that he may not be "fit" to serve a President.

And in a further insult to a man who was tortured for his country as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam, they question the pension's tax-free status.

As a POW, Lt. Commander John S. McCain was badly wounded, his captors refused to treat his injuries, instead torturing and interrogating him to gain information. Only when the North Vietnamese discovered that his father was a top admiral did they give him medical care. McCain spent six weeks in the Hoa Loa hospital, receiving marginal care. McCain was sent to a different camp on the outskirts of Hanoi in December 1967, into a cell with two other Americans who did not expect him to live a week. In March 1968, McCain was put into solitary confinement, where he would remain for two years.

In July 1968, McCain's father was named commander of all U.S. forces in the Vietnam Theater. McCain was immediately offered early release. The North Vietnamese wanted a worldwide propaganda coup by appearing merciful, and also wanted to show other POWs that elites like McCain were willing to be treated preferentially. McCain turned down the offer of repatriation; he would only accept the offer if every man taken in before him was released as well.

In August of 1968, a program of severe torture began on McCain, at the same time as he was suffering from dysentery and McCain made an anti-American propaganda "confession". He has always felt that his statement was dishonorable, but as he would later write, "I had learned what we all learned over there: Every man has his breaking point. I had reached mine. "His injuries left him permanently incapable of raising his arms above his head. He subsequently received two to three beatings per week because of his continued refusal to sign additional statements. Other American POWs were similarly tortured and maltreated in order to extract "confessions" and propaganda statements, with many enduring even worse treatment than McCain.

This is a man who has endured, survived, accomplished and excelled despite his wartime injuries. For the "Socialist" L.A. Times to infer that Senator McCain is not fit to be President is an insult to all who've served this country. Would this paper have ever dared to make the same claim of President Franklin D, Roosevelt back in the '30s and '40s? Would this "newspaper" ever have the balls to publish photos or print stories of FDR in his wheelchair or his struggling to stand upright with his crutches? I doubt it.

Mrs. Clinton, a Gun Totin' Church goer? Nah!

She described herself as a pro-gun churchgoer, recalling that her father taught her how to shoot a gun when she was a young girl and said that her faith “is the faith of my parents and my grandparents.”

Just when I think I've heard it all from Mrs. Clinton, she suddenly claims she relates to Gun Owners and Church going people. Did she all of a sudden have this revelation that maybe, just maybe the authors of our Constitution had it right, that the Second Amendment guarantees the private ownership of guns by it's citizens? And never seen much in a way of public religious conversation on her part either.

Ok, since religion is in my opinion a private matter, I'll be kind enough to leave that between Mrs. Clinton and her higher power as she may see it. So let's just see a couple of items regarding Hillary's public record on gun ownership.

First let's read the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

In 1998 she agreed in principle to treating gun manufacturers in the same way that government went after Big Tobacco. The thought was that initiating class action suits against gun manufacturers would cripple the industry in such a way that they would no longer sell to private citizens. Good idea. Let's put more honest, hardworking Americans out of work. The poor criminals will now have to get their weapons from the black market. Oh, wait. Isn't that where they get them now?

The time was September of 2000. Hillary is quoted as saying: "We have to keep guns away from people who shouldn't have them". Wow, what a genius! No one ever thought of that before. Law abiding citizens should not be barred from owning firearms...Period!

I would like to see a picture, if one existed, of Mrs. Clinton holding a weapon. I think it might be in the nature of her posing with some of those Black Panthers that she defended back in the late '60s.

Maybe she sported an Afro while brandishing a sawed off Remington.

A new advertising campaign by Swedish vodka maker Absolut shows a North American map as it appeared before the Mexican-American war of 1848 where after the United States annexed what is now the southwestern states.

Are they serious? Did some ad exec come up with this idea after consuming vast quantities of the product? Or is it some open borders proponent's geopolitical fantasy?

This goes to show how multi-national companies are starting to view America. They must feel that our time is upon us to be showing this kind of disdain for our nation. Or are they just pandering to the illegals in America to gain a larger market share?

What next? Is Absolut going to advertise a map of the USA showing the Confederate States of America in the south?
